TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

The AOC aims to provide as many educational and professional development opportunities for its members as possible. The Bruce Spivey Skills development Award This award is given in honour of Dr Bruce Spivey who supported the formation of the AOC greatly. The award will allow a working ophthalmologist or allied professional to spend 4-6 weeks at the Eye Foundation Hospital or at the Rwanda International Institute of Ophthalmology to learn specific skills that they feel they need. Example skills include medical retina skills, cornea crosslinking, research skills, optometry skills etc.
