Agents of Change Africa (AOC - Africa)
Agents of Change Africa is a youth, social and community development advocacy network, founded 9 years ago by Hadji Kwame Ahmed on the 24th of June 2010, driven by a passion and mission to orientate, inculcate, extrapolate and explore the potentials of the youth in low income and vulnerable communities thereby encouraging inclusive community growth and development. AOC Africa is determined to eliminate the inferiority complex and stigma attached to youth from the rural areas, deprived from the beneficial norms of the urban communities.
Goal is to influence the reasoning and the approach of the young and old in our community towards a refined and enlightened path that can bring about positive change in our communities and the coming generations. We want to minimize the level of developmental and societal stigmatization that comes from been born bred in a rural, low income and vulnerable communities to the barest minimum. Its negative effect on individuals' logical reasoning, self-esteem, developmental process etc. in affected societies is a major reason for our intervention via youth mentorship and empowerment initiatives so as to help these youths discover their strengths and their groom potential leaders.
